Traceability Window contents in Reports
« on: March 19, 2013, 02:20:57 am »
Hi

As we know that there is way to view the traceability of elements in EA..i.e. the Traceability Window.

Is there a way that i can get those contents in a report?

Does the Dependency & Implementation report serve the purpose? If so, how to view these reports at element level (they can be viewed at Package level).

Thanks
KN

Have you tried using the connector sections in the report?

Hi Robert

I did include the connector section in the report. But I am not exactly sure how to use them...When i saw the output file..there were few things repeated and it didn't made sense.

can you provide me an example?

Thanks

Hi

I'm looking for the same thing.
I was thinking about trying SQL searchs but find it quite cryptic.
Does anyone know SQL/EA database sufficiently to know if this is possible?

Hi

What I found work around was to add the Element section. Then i added a table inside that section. Then added the Element fields - Name, Type & Realizes in the 3 columns of the table.

The only thing - as per in Traceabililty Window how we have "implements" that I am not sure how to put in it the report.

Else for now, I could do it this way.

If anyone has more on this, please do share.
