Diagram Resolution Setting
« on: June 13, 2014, 10:56:16 pm »
Hello everyone

I am trying to embed some EA generated diagrams to a latex document but i can't seem to be able to tune the spatial resolution of the diagrams.

If i use a diagram as exported it occupies a whole page. If i rescale it, it becomes blurry.

The typical 'trick' i apply with other software is to bump up the spatial resolution to 300 DPI and then scale the document to the exact dimensions i need. This leads to a smooth and comprehensible print-out with a lot of detail.

But with EA, i am currently stuck at 72 DPI.

Could you please let me know how i could change the resolution at which the diagrams are rendered by EA?

Looking forward to hearing from you
AA

You could export it as wmf and fiddle that externally.

N.B. I found that the resolution for my LaTeX files was fairly ok with defaults. Of course not, if you scale up a single element to page size.

There is an option to scale up the size of generated images. (Tools | Options | Diagram | Scale Saved bitmaps to...

Hello qwerty & Simon M

Thank you very much for your responses, both useful in different cases. I will go with the 'scale the diagram up' for the moment, at least for print material.

All the best
