Customise the tool tip for my stereotypes?
« on: September 09, 2014, 11:24:55 am »
Hi all

I have created a bunch of stereotypes for my MDG which all look beautiful (in my eye at least!).
However, one thing I REALLY want to be able to do is change what appears in the tool tip when my users hover their mouse over them.

At the moment if they hover the mouse over one of my stereotypes, they get the standard fare:

* Element Name
* Element Metatype
* Author
* Phase
* Version

However, I would like to scrap some of this and add other information such as the value of some of the tagged values.

Is this possible in version 9.3 (which I am using) or any later versions? (we are upgrading as soon as our desktop team get around to packaging version 11 up).

Thanks in advance

Jays  :)

Custom tooltips - sounds like a good idea. Put in a feature request as it isn't really possible at the moment with V11
Happy to help

I agree with Jayson!
A handle where you can customize tooltips would be really nice. I also searched the net to find a solution for it before I posted a question here and found out that it can't be done atm.
So a general handle to customize tooltips got my vote and not just for the stereotypes but for every tooltip in EA.
