MDG Integ. for MS-Office requires Visual Studio

Hi,
While trying to install the MDG Integration for MS-Office for evaluation, I get the following error message:
The Visual Studio 2010 Tools for Office Runtime is not installed.  Please download and install from  … a suggested URL …

Is this normal?
This requirement was not listed with the systems requirements for the product.

Yes, the Runtime is just a set of libraries that allow integration to Office for applications developed with Visual Studio.

I thought these were installed by default with Office but that may be dependent on the version etc., so I could be wrong.  Most likely licensing issues don't allow them to be bundled in with the installer.

To the best of my knowledge, they are installed with MS-Office.

I am running Windows 7 (32 bits) with MS-Office 2010 (corporate config)

Yesterday i installed Visual Studio Tools library.
Now I am ready to do some testing.

Is there any sample models and ms-office documents with ea integration ?

I my case, MS-Office 2010 was already installed on my PC and I had to install Visual Studio Toolkit library for MS-Office prior to installing MDG integration for MS-Office

You might try http://community.sparxsystems.com/tutorials/864-synchronize-excel-to-ea-using-mdg-office-integration.  You should also ping Sparx support.  They sent me a worked sample which was more helpful then the included help.

Hi Marc,

You can check "%appdata%\Roaming\MDG Integration for Microsoft Office\Word\Sample Documents" folder in your local machine  drive for sample documents.
