problems profiling a java 64bit application
« on: October 08, 2015, 10:50:51 pm »
Hello,

I am facing a Problem regarding the usage of reverse Engineering functinoality in EA V10. What I am trying to do is to integrate the EA profiler lib into my Java-application using the Argument:

-agentpath:"C:\PROGRA~2\Sparxs~1\EA\SSJavaProfiler75"

I am using a jdk8u31 64bit Environment. I am getting following message when attempting to start the jvm:

Error occurred during initialization of VM
Could not find agent library C:\PROGRA~2\Sparxs~1\EA\SSJavaProfiler75 in absolute path, with error: %1 ist keine zulässige Win32-Anwendung

Knowing that EA is a 32bit application I don't have a clue how I could possibly avoid this error. From the view of my application I can't Switch to a 32bit jvm because of the usage of several 64bit products.

Any ideas?

Best regards,

What version of EA are you using? Recent versions do support debugging 64 bit applications.
