Would it be okay to post requested features here?  If not, would you start another board section to do so?

I know a HTML form exists to enter requests, but it is always nice to hear others' requests.  Also, half-baked ideas could be discussed and refined.

It would be FABULOUS if it had some support for modelling J2EE subjects, such as Session & Entity beans...

I am very new to Enterprise Architect and have a few questions oabout the product - I am not sure if this is the right area to post them - but would be grateful for any reponses.

1. Problem space to solution space : Does EA offer scripting language to help with this transition.  Does EA automatically generate diagrams that show that one diagram is the implementation of another other diagram and if so, are this dependencies maintained by hand?

2. Reverse Engineering : Is it possible for EA to reverse engineer a whole process - e.g point it to a peice of software (aside from the legal implications)?  Or does it just work on diagrams composed by the user.

3. Business Process Modelling (BPM) : appeals to users when you can simulate process, calculate costs and evaluate the impact of changing time and or resources and or cost and see the results of the process.

I have used MS Project to do this with some sucess on a large process.  The only problem is that MS Project doesn't allow iterative/reverse direction activity dependencies.  Not a problem if you are simulating the once only "time through the process" or the "total process cost".

EA .csv exp[ort should provide a "bridge" between EA and MS Project.  Haven't tried it but it should work.
