Formal requirments to Use cases
« on: May 27, 2003, 01:51:53 am »
After creating a package with business requirements, is there a way to generate use cases and scenarios directly from these requirements.
For example, if I have 5 requirements and I know that 2 of them would go as usecases and three of them as scenarios in these usecases, can I click on the requirement and say create a usecase from this or say create a scenario in such a such usecase.
Thanks,

Hi there,

I think the proper way would be to import your requirements from a .CSV file, then link them the appropriate a Use Cases with the realisation links. The product seems more designed with the opposite process in mind, via use of the 'Move External' feature within element responsibities.

You might just be able to hack the data straight into the backend database though, given a bit of ingenuity.  (I think the t_objectrequires and t_objectresource tables of interest....watch out for the ea_guid values though!).
