importing XSD

Is there any way to import an XSD, if not it would be a very nice capability and would allow round tripping on XSD projects.

I agree.  In case you haven't already, visit xmlmodeling.com.  It's devoted to this subject.  You can purchase a tool there to do XSD<->UML.  Unfortunately it cost $600.  I tried the free trial a few months ago and it works.  EA was able to import the models that it generated very nicely.  I searched around for something free and came up empty.  Since I need to do this in the very near future for a specific project I may have to break down and spend the money.  If you consider the labor savings, its worth it.
