EA Add-On To VS.NET
« on: October 01, 2003, 06:22:11 pm »
Rational XDE for .NET is very a good tool, and it's also uses
VS.NET extensibility feature and installs directly into VS.NET
becoming part of it, but it costs $3,600 - $5,100.
Now, can you imagine how many VS.NET developers will be happy to get "VA.NET" if "add-on" version becomes avialable
with current feature set and current VA price?
Ans it is not so difficult to create an add-on for Visual Studio.NET if you already have existing code base, I created
few toys myself ;)

Hi
I thinks thispoint of you had not only me and you . I spend the whole day on studying that problem after I sow  Together for.NET . Sure this is not posibile  to implement by using Automation Interfaces and AddIns which are provided at this moment with EA .
Just hope that in future (near hope) guys from SparxSystem will give to us a richer Automation Interfaces which help us to create any type of AddIns for any kind of IDE (of course they should also support AddIns).
PS>
guys if you do not have time to do this I can give you a hand of help for free :)

It would be fantastic to have EA integrated into VS.NET.

In the latest post in the 'Future Plans' forum they mention:

"Integration with other coding environments - notably Visual Studio.NET
"

So, it looks like it's in the pipeline.....I can't wait  ;D
