bug with communication diagram redrawing
« on: July 25, 2005, 06:43:41 pm »
Hello,

When opening some of the communication diagrams I created earlier, the objects are not drawn correctly. More specifically, I have several "collaboration message arrows objects" going from an object to another one. Here is the steps I used for reproduction:

1) Create a communication diagram with several links ("collaboration message arrows objects")
2) Place the messages with the arrows the way you like.
3) Save the project, Close it and re-open it.
4) open the original diagram you created
5) The objects are not drawn the way they were when you saved them, they're misaligned !
6) Click on a misaligned "collaboration message object" and the message will automatically change its location to the correct position, but I have to move the mouse a bit or else it will go back to its original (and wrong) location.

If I save the project and close/re-open it, the same process will go over and over again. That means I have to re-set the location of those objects everytime I open the diagram/project

I would appreciate hearing from you, what can I do for it and anybody experienced something similar?

Sébastien

I'll add a vote for this problem. I can't even control which way the arrow points when I first add the message to the diagram.

It usually aligns with the notional direction of the link and the message direction. But too many arrows point sideways when associated with a vertical line.

Sometimes moving the link object further apart moves the arrow to the correct direction, but sometimes I have to move, and move, and move the object. Diagrams start to look ridiculous. :o
