Why haven't you used Oracle as a repository too?

You've used just SqlServer and MySql as repository. Why haven't you used Oracle too ? Is there any deal with Microsoft to avoid to use Oracle ?

If you purchase the Corporate Edition, you have the option to use a SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle 9i, PostgreSQL, Adaptive Server Anywhere or MSDE data repository.  

From the forums:

EA supports the DBMS for which datatypes are provided, namely DB2, Interbase[/Firebird], MSAccess, MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server and Sybase Adaptive Server Anywhere.  
 
We have plans to include Sybase ASE, but no plans yet for Progress.

When I go to create a DB diagram (I have the corporate edition), I am not seeing SQL Server 2005, just SQL Server 7 and 2000. How do I get support for 2005?

EA 7.0 beta 2 (build 811) and later have explicit support for SQL Server 2005. This includes recognition of SQL as a data type.

I do not believe that EA yet supports custom definition of domains (user defined data types). However, wonders do happen, and perhaps this will appear sometime in 7.x.

As to other repositories, I've been quite successful with Oracle. Search the forum, as well as the release notes, or just read the user documentation (i.e. help file). You'll find lists of the DBMS products EA supports. In particular, Oracle 10g seems to work quite well at this point.
