More wishes for the template editors
« on: September 12, 2007, 10:20:58 am »
Creating an extensive library of code generation/model transformation templates would be a lot easier if:

1) It could be possible to have multiple templates open at the same time (e.g. tabs). This would make it easier to copy fragments between templates.

2) Maintaining an overview of the template libraries is increasingly difficult as the number of templates grows. It would be a big help if one could see which templates where referenced where (perhaps in an UML diagram somehow or like in Doxygen).

3) Maybe the possibility to associate a description with a template and print/export the list of templates to a reference doc?

Nice ideas.

For number 2 perhaps something like the hierarchy view EA already has would be both simple and useful.
No, you can't have it!
