Diagram resize in RTF documentation
« on: September 18, 2007, 08:42:46 am »
Hi all,

I seem to have problems with RTF documentation: Diagrams do not fit onto a page. Even when I scale them down to a quarter of a page on screen, in the RTF output they get scaled up to a page, and then the page header in my template pushes them down over the bottom of the page. My request would be that diagrams do not get scaled to a full page when generating documentation, but retain their screen scale size.

Regards,
Wiebe Hordijk

It appears to me that they are scaled to the page width. If you have a diagram that is tall but longer than the paper aspect ratio (A4 in my case), then the diagram flows of the bottom of the page.

I have had to spend time 'fattening; diagrams to stop this.

Scale to fit should mean just that, and both height and width should be accounted for.

Yep,

This is a problem all right. There is a lot to be desired in EA page size handling.

I suggest you report this as a bug. While I suspect Sparx has heard it before, perhaps the extra weight of another bug report will help the problem bubble up to the point where it gets corrected.

No, you can't have it!

Thanks for the moral support. I'm going to file a lot of bugs regarding RTF documentation. Getting paper out of EA is important for me, and it's just taking me too much time.
