Why can't we make polls here

I think specially in this forum it is a very inportant tool, rating the popularity of suggestions.

We've asked this so many times. In fact we'd likely end up with a situation where the request for polls topped the list.

The ops told us that polling is only allowed for ops. Luckily they do not make use of it to avoid confusion.
