Share Script Request
« on: May 13, 2009, 07:40:49 am »
Not sure if it is possible.

It would be very nice if I could take a standard activity object and put a little icon in the corner that when clicked will take the user to URL.

So I ask the gurus, is it possible?

You could use a hyperlink. Perhaps create a small image, and associate the hyperlink with that. Then overlay the hyperlink onto the element. You might need to make the hyperlink transparent.

I don't think this will be a robust solution, and the hyperlink might not automatically move if you reposition the underlying element. But it might be enough.
No, you can't have it!

We have been using this solution, however some of our diagrams have between 300 - 700 elements on them. This gets very cumbersome when trying to do periodic diagram maintenance.

It would be a much better solution to make the hyperlink a property, that way it is closely associated with the elements.

I wish there was a way to display element properties with the stereotype.
