Hierarchical partitions in activity diagrams
« on: October 19, 2011, 05:39:20 pm »
Hi people.

I think it would be an interesting feature to be able to create hierarchical partition (or swimlanes) in activity diagrams. Not only plain partitions.

I can't figure out how to do that in EA 9.1. I guess it is not currently possible.

Thanks.

You can nest partitions in both the diagram and in the project browser.

If you drag and drop a Partition over another Partition, the appearance is similar to the "Pool" and "Lane" of BPMN.

Thanks for answering Luis J., but that is not the desired feature either. It should be real hierarchical partitions. As an example, MagicDraw does it well.
