EA 10 wishlist
« on: November 23, 2012, 08:45:02 am »
OK, I've started playing with EA 10, and, you know, there is a lot of small stuff that it would be real nice to have.
Please feel free to add to this wish list.

When I select two or more adjacent objects in the project browser I'd like to be able to move them as a group up or down the tree

EA 10 wishlist: tab navigation
« Reply #2 on: November 23, 2012, 08:54:15 am »
Improvements to tab navigation,
eg ability to go to leftmost or rightmost tab (eg double arrow)
eg drop down list of all tabs (in status bar) EDIT: this exists, see below

There is a drop-down list of all tabs in the top-right corner of the diagram, just to the left of the close button.

Re: EA 10 wishlist: connector movement
« Reply #4 on: November 23, 2012, 09:25:54 am »

When I select and drag one end of a connector, because I want to move only that end DO NOT move the other end - under any circumstances.

This isn't a new problem, its there in v9, but its a bug, or an unwanted feature.

It appears from your screen shot that you are using Auto-routing line style. You will get better results with the Custom or Orthogonal line styles.

Would be nice if you could modify multiple item at once, from any view.
AFAIK, it is not possible to apply a stereotype to several items from the list view. That would be very convenient.

Still be better than good to have this behaviour fixed ...

EA 10 wishlist: Diagram frames shown reduced

Allow diagram frames to be shrunken, rather than always at 100% size.

Yes please!
Most other object wrap - why not packages?

Well, it could be argued that if all you want to show is that section of the diagram, you shoudl create a new diagram for that purpose.

That not withstanding, the ability to manage diagrams frames with both cropping (your example) and scaling would be welcome.

Actually I was trying to illustrate scaling (by dragging the sides of the diagram to reduce the size of the diagram)

Requested before, but bears repeating,
how about giving the "Find" dialogue a bit more oomph
