Structured scenarios need more flexibility
« on: July 23, 2014, 05:53:08 pm »
Hi!

I need to be able to have looped steps, and to have alternate paths availabile within alternate paths, and to have excpetions within alternatives and alternatives within excetptions.

The current system is fine for very simple processes, but I don't want to have to break down the activity, which is at the right level currently, into another level of diagrammes and activities, when more flexible structured scenarios would suffice, and be more appropriate for my model.

Thanks!

This has been an issue since Structured Scenarios were introduced in EA 8.
Extending the structured scenarios to your request would be great, so we don't have to break down use cases. It should also be possible I think to have steps from alternate or exception paths going back to a specific step of the main path.

I never understood why Sparx did put that (silly) limitation on the scenarios. For me they were rendered absolutely useless this way.
