Open Specification Manager by API for a Package
« on: July 24, 2016, 08:30:10 pm »
Hello,

is there a way to open the Specification Manager by API for a Package?

I have also tried to open the Specification Manger by Hyperlink for a package. I found no solution.

May be I have missed something or there is trick.

Thanks in advance,

Helmut

I haven't seen any specific function, but if you know the secret key (or a Sparxian tells us) you might get lucky with the customcommand

I already had skimmed the executable to eventually find a table with keywords but have not been lucky so far. I did not look into all those DLLs as pops up right now. I loathe that Windoze for not having build-in things like grep etc. (I know I can use gnu tools, but it's always some extra to do and this DOS console is simply the place in Windoze I want to miss most).

Well Windows does have PowerShell which has pretty much all the same command line tools available in bash - assuming you are using Win 7 or later.  The part that annoys me is that the names and options are all different so I have to use PowerShell ISE and constantly look up equivalents.  Supposedly the upgrade to Win 10 due in a few days will support a native Ubuntu bash shell with access to all the familiar unix command line tools.

I'd rather have Powershell on Ubuntu :-)

And both Bash and the Windows CL have a find command.
