Hi. This depends on the width of scope you use it. We just use it to expose change request elements. Sure, if somebody changes the DB layout, we need to migrate and change our query logic. But that should be fair effort (anyway we used tagged values to create our custom fields), compared to a complete new development of a addon/plugin. But of course, as many companies use Sharepoint nowadays, it would be really nice to have a interface to Sharepoint lists out-of-the-box!

For a complete integration between EA and a bugtracking tool, take a look at 'EA Connector for JIRA'.

It is possible to implement several processes with it: Requirements management, Demand management, Testing (test cases/test plans), traceability bug<-> EA element, issue <-> EA element, task <-> EA element...

Thanx, sounds interesting! Unfortunately, Mantis is our corporate standard... I'd like to have JIRA more than Mantis :-)

In general I see integration of Change Management tools in EA crucial. Otherwise you need always to duplicate those already existing information. I don't want a second system for that, it's already in place and accepted by the user (they never will enter requests directly in my EA!).

I've not looked at it myself, but there was also a third-party Mantis / EA integration tool announced recently that might be of interest.  See:

Thanx, that sounds also very good! I'll give the trial version a try.

But now they think about if Mantis is really a helpdesk tool :-D

Of course it's not a helpdesk tool, It's just a simple bugtracker, but they noticed now that they want a helpdesk tool ... (sometimes stakeholders drive me crazy). Until a final decision has been made I think I can go with Manea for a while...
