#TAG:tagname# displays GUID
« on: January 10, 2011, 09:43:40 am »
I have created a UML profile with tagged values (using taggedValue association) and scripts.

The script displays the taggedvalue using #TAG:tagname# , when I use the exported profile directly using resource windows -> import profile. tagged values are displayed correctly... however when I make the profile as part of MDG technology it display taggedvalues as GUID.

Is it a known bug? Is there a workaround?

Harvinder,

I believe it is... I reported a bug about 12 months ago where EA would pick the wrong stereotype.  You need to ensure that the ONLY instance of the stereotype in the EA instance you are dealing with is the one from the MDG technology.

You should find another stereotype with the same name in the global list and if you look in the t_stereotypes table you should find it has the GUID that EA has assigned.  Remove it from the global list and EA should now assign the correct identity to the element.
