Archimate 3.0 Open Exchange
« on: February 10, 2017, 08:18:21 pm »
When will a version of the latest Open Exchange Format be made available. Archi tool has export but currently no ability to import. I have a project created in Archi 3.0 that I would love to Migrate to Sparx EA. Archi 3 worked like a dream but prospect of manually recreating things is not appealing.

Any ETA? If it was near (even BETA) could wait but unfortunately if months away, has to be hand carved migration..

Any help welcomed

Eve

I believe it's currently planned for our next version number increase (not patch build.)

Sorry, I can't provide any timeframe for that.

PS. I believe that Archi was the proof of concept/reference implementation. Unlike them it doesn't make sense for us to provide it until the specification has stabilized.

I followed the help topic for exporting archimate 3 models, but the archimate tool is not present in the publish ribbon. We have the corporate edition.

Kind regards,

Might I suggest it is actually introduced in v13.5 see history ...

http://www.sparxsystems.com/products/ea/13.5/history.html#1351 under the Archimate section.

I've not tested that it is definitely introduced in that specific version, but it might help others with v13.0 that are able to model v3 but not able to export.
