General attributes for applicationcomponents in Archimate 3.0
« on: December 01, 2018, 01:18:59 am »
Hi all,

Is it possible to ad general attributes in EA? I want to use those to ad on my applicationcomponents.
So when I create a new applicationcomponent I can link one or more general attributes.
If possible is it also possible to create a tracebility of which elements use an attribute?

Thanks!

Can you please elaborate?
What do you mean by "general attribute" and what does "link one or more attribute" mean to you.

Generally yes you can add attributes using tagged values. Three ways to do this add them manually one at a time.  Write a script to add them automatically. Create and MDG that extends the stereotype and adds the tagged values.
Happy to help

As you haven't included a lot of detail, it's worth mentioning that maybe you want to create a library of application functions and assign you components to those functions.  Then you can use tracability from the function to see what components deliver that functionality.
