XPDL file import to EA
« on: April 15, 2009, 06:09:03 am »
Hi,

I have a large number of BPMN diagrams in Tibco business studio that I want to import into a EA Business Process model.  Tibco stores data in XPDL format files, however I can't find any information regarding EA and XPDL standards.  Does anyone know how this is done?
Thanks Chris

Having the same problem myself - anyone have any ideas how to export BPMN into XPDL?

Nick,

Are you having the same, or the reverse problem?
Do you want to import EA models into Tibco or Import Tibco models into EA?
Anyway, I don't think there's a specific adaptor for xpdl files, so I guess xmi import/export is your best bet.

Hi Geert,
Thanks for the response.
Need to move BPMN models into Tibco after I've finished setting up traceability in EA...
Ive noticed a tool out there (BPM-X?) but cant see any sign of a price and not keen to progress.
Tibco does not appear to allow processes to be imported using XMI unfortunately...
Cheers
Nick
