Example using Automation Interface in Word/VBA
« on: January 16, 2004, 07:13:16 am »
Could someone please provide a full example of accessing a model using the Automation Interface from Word/VBA. In particular, could someone provide an example using one of the VB .bas files downloadable from the Automation Interface  site pages. I know enough about VBA to be dangerous. I've tried unsuccessfully to figure out how to do this and have run up against a brick wall . Any assistance is appreciated.

Can you describe how far you have come? We then maybe
can continue together.

Actually not too far. In Word, I open the Visual Basic Editor, and set up EA in Visual Basic as described at http://www.sparxsystems.com.au/AutIntVBSetup.htm. Then I import the various .bas files from the AutInt example application. From here I have no clue how to actually run the VB. I'd like to run one of the reports in the AutInt application, but I don't know how from this point.

Thanks.
