EA security and editing elements in Prolaborate
« on: September 23, 2019, 09:55:32 pm »
For a user to edit an element in an EA model with Security, the following are required:
1. Write access permission in Prolaborate
2. If Require EA Authentication is not enabled for that user, the EA user configured in Repository Configuration should have "Update Elements" permission set in EA.
Note: If Require User Lock to Edit is not enabled in EA and if you have applied Group lock, the user whom you have used in EA to apply the lock should be used in Repository Configuration
3. If Require EA Authentication is enabled for that user, the EA user that is used to Open a Prolaborate repository should have "Update Elements" permission set in EA

Most importantly, the elements which the user is trying to edit should not be locked by any other user in EA.
