Modify links in the HTML report
« on: August 22, 2012, 12:08:29 am »
Hi.

Very simplified I have a set of components in a component diagram, that are deployed on a number of servers in a "server overview diagram".

Is it possible to modify the generated links in the HTML report? - If I click on a server that is linked in the component diagram, I want to link to the "server overview diagram" instead of the "server detail page"

regards
Andreas

Hi Andreas,

You could make each server element link to the "server overview" diagram but this would replace the link to the "server details" diagram and also this would then be the behaviour for -each- diagram in your model containing server elements.

So why not include a hyperlink element that links to the "server overview diagram" in each component diagram instead? In each diagram you can optionally connect specific hyperlink elements to one or more server elements via note-links to improve readability.

Making use of hyperlink elements to provide links to additional diagrams of interest is a more generic approach that can be used in other situations as well.

Paulus
