Hi Eve,  This might help.  In the github source for Archi, there is this XML file that provides the full set of Archimate 3.1 relationships.  Perhaps you could use that.   I always use Archi as my "bible" to determine what is and is not a legal relationship in Archimate. I have found it to be very reliable against the specification (certainly more than EA).  What I usually do is use Archi first to figure out how I want to model something before doing the work in EA.

https://github.com/archimatetool/archi/blob/master/com.archimatetool.model/model/relationships.xml

You can see this table in the latest release of Archi by selecting Help/Archimate relationships, including the key for the letters, which is as follows:

a: Access
c: Composition
f: Flow
g: Aggregation
i: Assignment
n: Influence
o: Association
r: Realization
s: Specialization
t: Triggering
v: Serving

It would be really GREAT if you could test your MDG against this.  I think it might solve lots of issues.

Thanks Rich.

Unfortunately, I don't think that decreases the chance of error at all. From v15 EA is shifted from loading relationships as specified by the metamodel to loading the ArchiMate relationships from a table that matches the one in the specification very closely. The only difference trying to load from the Archi source would be trusting how they have read the table instead of our people.

I'd like to check our results against theirs... They've opted to specify it in alphabetical order while we have matched the order in the spec, so I'm not sure it would be worth the effort.

I think it would be good to at least do a difference analysis between your table and theirs, which would highlight questions that would need to be resolved.  I've been using Archi for quite a long time (along with EA) and they are VERY good at being faithful to the specification.   Up to you, though!

Hi Guys,
I am looking for the 3.1 MDG, do you know where it is? Particularly value streams is my main driver.
Thanks
