Ctrl-Shift-F brings me to Search in Files.

Not sure if that has always been the case (I never used this shortcut)

Formerly (13.5 and before) that opened the Find in browser window. Now it does what you said.

That is not the option that you seek. The option that you seek is in the Project Toolbar (Start > Portals > Show Toolbar > Project Toolbar, then 5th icon from the left; a pair of binoculars over a Package icon).

The Help does say that Ctrl+Shift+F is a shortcut for this option, but that key combination - as you have discovered - is confined to opening the File Search dialog. I will correct the Help.
Best Regards, Roy

So it turns out that I have to dock that tiny toolbar below the ribbon to waste even more space on my monitor? Can't I just define the shortcut again? If so, where is that menu now? (This hide and seek isn't funny at all!)

BTW: Wasting space on the monitor: How can I get rid of that "Portals" menu to the right. It can't be collapsed or closed.

EAUI again :-/ The other windows have a fancy triangle to do the job. Ah, well. But thanks for the help :-)

Argh! That toolbar got lost and somehow I can't find it again. It's probably some Perspective weirdness (but what are my perspecives other than searching in EA all day?). From 0 to 10 (for 10 being the best) design points I would give this UI a -1.

You can enable/disable toolbars at Start | Desktop | Preferences | Toolbars

Geert

PS. Hmm, Paolo will probably object to my use of enable/disable; oh well  :P

I supposed so. But that menu does no longer contain that entry. Sick of searching...

The prosecution objects, Your honour!  ;)

The defence claims to be enabling/disabling the toolbar using that option, but in fact, the defendant is merely hiding/showing the toolbar!   ;D

I move that the members of the jury be asked to strike the original from the record and substitute the latter!
