I wonder why a diagram does have a stereotype, but it's not really used/usable. The API has a Metatype property which much resembles a stereotype since it has a <profile>::<name> format (unlike element metatypes which appear as simple strings in contrast to their stereotypes having the aforementioned format). Is there any rationale behind this?
