WebEA token usage
« on: June 02, 2021, 11:01:25 am »
We've just started our WebEA journey with Pro Cloud.
As a small team we've started with tow tokens.
We are using AAD SSO.

The documentation states ONE Token can be used to enable ONE web based user (WebEA,
but it seems that each browser tab takes up a token.
Have anyone observed anything similar?

And wait, there is more.
Is it possible to view who the tokens are allocated to, or to release them?

I'm interested in this aswell. How can we see who is using tokens and how do we manually release a token?

You can't, and you can't.
They time out after 30 minutes.

In response to my (repeated) request to sales - who uncharacteristically did not acknowledge or respond, and then eventually support,
I got acknowledgement and then a response from support
"The website has been adjusted to clearly state User = User Session ".

Note that this may not be what you think you paid for, but sales have been silent on this.

Thanks for the reply Skiwi!

They time out after 30 minutes.

Timeout after 30 min is also something I've noticed not to be correct.
I opened browser and went to the website on a pc. I locked the pc. The day after the token was still in use.
Only after I manually logged out or closed the browser (and waited 30 min), the token was released.

You are correct that logging out releases the token. (whos going to remember to do that right?)
And that the timeout starts when you close the browser session.
