AWS - Components with Custom Appearance in Multiple Diagrams
« on: February 04, 2022, 03:33:50 am »
I'm using Enterprise Architect 15.2 and trying to make a diagram and using AWS images.
So far I've added an Amazon Web Services Images Model Pattern. This created the <Image> Artifacts.
I'm able to select an image asset by changing the appearance of my component and pointing to the artifact.
Unfortunately, this will only change the appearance in one diagram instead of all diagrams that have this component.

I can also drag the image artifact to a diagram and add is as a component. However if I put this new component in a new diagram it
will not show the image.

So in short, I'm trying to have a custom appearance for a component and show this in all diagrams.
Could someone explain how to do this?

I tried to make my own Stereotype, but I can't choose an image asset. Maybe it can be done with the Metafile, but I couldn't find much information
about this, and seemed to be too complicated for what I'm trying to accomplish.

I sort of expected Enterprise Architect to give me an AWS toolbox with the components, such as Postgres and Queue, that I can just add to
my diagrams, and it will just work.
