EA16 User Layout (workspace)
« on: July 05, 2022, 07:58:52 pm »
Hi,

Using the current EA16 build 1605, I need to create a custom workspace with a specific default ribbon menu.
Despite looking and searching the menu, I can't find anywhere to do that. In EA15.2, this is available under menu Start > Workspace > Manage workspace.
In EA16, the arrow to open the menu is not available.

Is this a bug ?

Hi Guillaume,

The workspaces icon in the ribbon seems to have functionally shrunk, you cannot manage workspaces from there anymore. Has the functionality moved elsewhere?

You have to click the Workspace icon in the All Windows section in the Start Ribbon

That brings up a list of windows, many of which are not relevant to workspaces!

Select Workspaces in the section titled Workspace Tools

Now you should be in a familiar dialog.

It was a lot easier to select from a menu! Cannot see why Sparx Systems made this change

Thanks Phil, I also cannot see why Sparx made that change. Hopefully, it was unintended and will be corrected.
