Windows 11? - Find Command... widget disappeared?
« on: July 22, 2024, 07:27:38 pm »
As mentioned in another post some of our users have been provided with new Windows-11 machines requiring a new Sparx EA Install.  Under v16 on Windows 10 we had a Find Command... widget to the right of the Settings tab on the ribbon that allowed you to enter part of a command and it would look it up in the EA menu system.  Was that purely a WQindows-10 functionality?

If not, how can it be enabled?  It's also unavailable under v17 on Windows 11.

TIA,
Paolo

This is not related with the windows version, but with the chosen visual window style.

If you choose for Microsoft Office 2016 the widget is there.

There is an alternative for this find command thing.
If you open the sparx menu (left of the start) then there is a search box on the bottom.
This is not 100% the same weirdly enough, but it will probably help you find the commands you need as well.

Thanks, Geert!

I couldn't get the small search bar to work.  I'll try again later.
