Broadcast Events and Scripts

My understanding of how Broadcast Events work is that an Add-In is required to respond to the Broadcast.  Searching the forum reinforces that, but can some kind soul (more formally) confirm or deny that, please?

I don't have a problem using an Add-In since we have one already, but I was hoping to try it out in a script first, but that doesn't seem possible.

Not entirely correct anymore.

Since v15 you can use model addins: https://sparxsystems.com/enterprise_architect_user_guide/16.1/add-ins___scripting/modeladdins.html
Alternative (and of course much better  ;D) is to use EA-Matic: https://bellekens.com/ea-matic/
