Automation - basic question
« on: July 27, 2004, 06:40:39 am »
Hi everyone!
Sorry for the too basic (and maybe ridiculous) question, but I really need to know...
Can anyone explain me (or tell me where to find the information) what exactly automation is and what it is for?
thanx!

Hi,

Simply put, the Automation Interface is a set of functionality that is exposed so you can easily write your own programs that would interface with EA (or any other system that uses AI, e.g. MS Office).
If you look in the EA Help file under Automation Interface, there is quite a bit of information there.

You're right, there are informations in the file, but not the definition itself...it's more for people who are used to this term...
Thank you, it really helped me!  ;D
