Import Glossary into EA Project
« on: August 13, 2004, 04:36:59 pm »
Is it possible to import a Glossary into an EA project?

We are looking for a way to specialize Glossary item sets in different projects.

The documentation speaks in the Help Topic "Import and Export Reference Data" about that, it  says: "Reference data (including Glossary and Issue information) may be imported and exported to XML files for convenient updating of models…"

But we did not find a way to import Glossary data.

Juergen,

Under the "Tools" menu, there is an option "Import Reference Data...".   That will give you what you want.

The easiest way to do this is to first export your glossary (Tools -> Export Reference Data...), modify the exported data and import it back in.

The format of the file is pretty simple.
