Add-in search in model documents

Hi @all,

is there any chance to get add-in searches to work with model documents?
The add-in search works fine with the "Find in Project" view but does not work with a model document as used by a master document.

In the help file, there is no direct hint that this is not working, but the sentence "Custom SQL searches are supported if they are returning elements; the SQL must include ea_guid AS CLASSGUID (case sensitive) and the object type" lets me thinking of that only standard search and SQL search is working?

I need a more powerful search function with regular expressions, which I cannot handle in SQL or the standard search.
