Why Association without arrowhead?
« on: December 05, 2014, 02:54:58 pm »
Why is the Association in EA displayed as a simple line instead of an arrow so you dont know instantly (only when you hover the mouse pointer over it) in which direction it goes?

Can I change it somewhere  to the regular non-dashed arrow with an open arrowhead, like used everywhere else?

You can change individual associations by double-click and changing the "Direction" value. You can set the default by checking "Tools > Options > Links > Association default = source -> target". This option is switched off by default because undirected associations are generally commoner than directed, but of course YMMV.

Also, the UML standard includes both undirected and directed associations so it's not an EA thing as such. Only the default behaviour is EA-specific and, as noted, that can be changed in the options.
