Round-trip engineering
« on: April 02, 2008, 03:46:11 pm »
I am having a number of issues with round-trip engineering between the UML class models and the C++ generated code as follows:

1) Please include  a mandatory <LF> prior to <EOF> as some compilers complain when there isn't one.
2) Changing procedure parameter data types produces both out-of-date & new function procedure calls when code is generated.
3) "newVal" is not replaced with alternative text in code body when substituted in the model.
4) Code comments modified externally do not overwrite original comments when the model is synchronized with the code.
5) When I change a property data type in the model, the getter & setter functions are not modified to reflect the changed data type.

Please let me know if there is a definitive document on the best procedures for round-trip engineering.

BTW: We're using the latest Build 828.

Thanks,
Bevan
p.s. This is a great product. Is Sparx considering a share offering any time in the future?
