SQL search and modeldocument
« on: May 29, 2008, 06:50:54 am »
I'm trying to generate documentation usinig an SQL search. The search works fine from the model search but I cannot get its content into the document. Any hints on debugging this? I've tried to make sure that thee fields referenced in the template are produced by the search SELECT statement.

Thanks,
DanG

Nevermind. I just RTFM and it notes that Note:

SQL Search and Diagram Searches are not supported.

Argh!

Sure would be nice to have it. After putting a lot of info into the database I'm stuck with the classic problem of getting in a useful form.

What version of EA are you using? Build 830, released yesterday, now  supports SQL searches. However, the documentation change is simply to remove "SQL Search and" from the note. Perhaps if you download 830 and repeat just what you did, it will work. If not, send in a bug report to Sparx Support.
