Project Browser Disappeared
« on: July 07, 2009, 07:01:51 pm »
Currently using Version 7.5, I no longer seem to be able to view the Project Browser Window.  I have tried the Alt + 0 shortcut as well as selecting it from the menu.  However I cannot seem to find it anywhere, either as a floating window or docked.

Any suggestions?

Hi,

There have been a couple of similar issues like this in the past, you might want to search the forum for them.
If I remember correctly the main reasons for a window disappearing where:
  • The window was opened on a second monitor which is no longer attached to this computer
  • The window has been resized (bottom of the window dragged up to the top) that there is nothing left but a small line. You should be able to pull it back the the normal size then.
There should be an option somewhere that resets the layout of the windows, but I don't remember where exactly. This option could help you as well.

Geert

The option Geert is talking about is :

      View/Visual Layouts/Default Layout

To reset, click on this option even if it is ticked.

Has anybody ever seen it unticked?

Just wondering,

If you select the Iconix layout, or define and use a Custom Layout, the Default Layout option is unticked.

I'm using Custom Layouts and it's ALWAYS ticked...

(That's why I asked)

In fact, I went to Iconix and it changed - I then went back to my custom layout and the tick stayed on Iconix!  Still is, even though I have reverted to custom layout.  EAUI?

IMHO the latter. To me it looks more broken than unique.
No, you can't have it!
