Hi,

I presume that the swimlanes were selected when you did the copy, yes?

If so, then there may be a bug.

While the simple Copy and Paste usually works (indeed it works for me in this situation - Activity diagram with swimlanes into PPT - using EA build 850 and PPT 2007); I've found it better to save the diagram as an image using Diagram|Save image [Ctrl+T] and then include that image in the external application.  Not unexpectedly, one seems to get more consistent (that word again) results that way.  It also has the benefit that you can link to the image and have updates to it automatically incorporated in the other document using OLE.

HTH,
Paolo

If you are copying a diagram to an external app, use Ctrl+B (Copy the current diagram image to the clipboard)

Hi Neil,

Ctrl+B generates the same image as Ctrl+T but doesn't save it to the file, yes?

Approximately, yes.

(If you have clipboard format set to Bitmap and save image as WMF, for example, then they will be different. Also there are separate options for showing diagram frames for clipboard and saved images.)
