Override Parent Operations
You can automatically override methods from parent Classes and from realized Interfaces, using the 'Override Operations/Interfaces' dialog. You can configure the system to display this dialog each time you add a Generalization or Realization connector between Classes, and review their possible operations/interfaces to override/implement.
Access
Use any of the methods outlined here to display the 'Overrides & Implementations' dialog.
On the dialog, you simply:
- Select the checkbox against each operation or interface to automatically override (or click on the button) and click on the ; Enterprise Architect generates the equivalent function definitions in your child Class
To display the dialog automatically, from the Start ribbon, select 'Appearance > Preferences > Preferences : Links' and select the 'Show Override Operation dialog on new connector' checkbox.
