TortoiseSVN in EA 9.2?
« on: December 23, 2011, 02:31:42 am »
Does anyone know if this statement from Sparx on TortoiseSVN (v8) is still true in EA 9.2?

"Enterprise Architect cannot use TortoiseSVN to communicate with the Subversion server; it must use the Subversion command line client."

Thanks in advance!

This is true.  EA uses the Subversion command line client.

However you can use TortoiseSVN outside of the EA environment to do things like browse the repository, build new working directories, etc.  Essentially everything in the TortoiseSVN command set.

Command-line client is for EA.
TortoiseSVN is for Windows Explorer.

What's the problem with that? Tortoise itself also uses the command client under the hood. Are you afraid of to much disk space to be wasted?
