BPMN 2.0 Pools and Lanes moving on modification
« on: August 02, 2013, 03:22:21 am »
Version 10.0.1008.

When using BPMN 2.0 diagrams if a pool or lane is moved on the diagram it is moving out from under the business process in the Project Browser to the package level.

Has anyone else experienced this?
Is there a configuration setting in v10 that defaults to this behavior?

Thanks,
Stan.

I have also experienced this. Anytime you have a pool or lane as a child under the Process, when you move or resize them on a BPMN2.0 diagram, they get moved out from under the Process and go to the package level.

Very very annoying. I am thinking of giving up on trying to maintain a "standard" approach on this and just let the pools and lanes live at the package level.

In my mind the Pool should be a child of the Process object, and the lanes should be children of the Pool, and this is what our standard says we should maintain, but this behavior really makes it difficult.

I have noticed a similar behavior in another context (but don't remember where exactly). AFAIR the behavior was introduced with V10 and did not exits in the 9.3 release. So chances are bad to see a correction as Sparx has obviously had some attempt to introduce this  :(
