Connector input field "weight" is always disabled

Hello,

I wonder how to use the input field for Weight on the connector properties dialog, as shown in this screenshot:


As I understand from the UML specification, weight can be applied to control flows as well as object flows in an activity diagram. I tried various such scenarios in EA, like
  • Action to action (as in screenshot)
  • Object to action
  • Activity with object node to activity with object node

However, the input field is always disabled.

Can anyone describe how to enable it?

Could well be that you're the first to actually use that weird field. I think my memories hold some faint remembering of such a disabled field but I never cared...

OK.

I was thinking this was probably to do with the edition of EA installed, but it's not. I've fired up BSE and it still can't be set.

Apparently this field stopped working in version 9 and hasn't recovered since.

I have reported the bug and the answer is

Maybe it's more something like Esoteric Angina. (The German spelling of the above is Ösophagusatresie.)
