Generalization in tree format crashes diagram
« on: November 11, 2014, 10:03:02 am »
Adding a generalisation association on a class diagram crashes the class diagram (EA continues to work but it is impossible to close, save or continue editing the diagram). If I close EA completely and go back in the diagram is saved (on Exit - Do you want to save....).

I'm running EA 11.1.1111 and using an EAP db.

Never heard such a thing. Try Tools/Data Management/Integrity/Repair.

yep - same problem here.  Just after trying to set a generalization style to vertical tree, right click on the link shows class contextual menu, can't select anything.  Can close the diagram, but can't reopen any diagram (the bottom tab does appear and the scroll bar suggest a larger diagram, but we only see the welcome page - as if see-through).

Integrity repair did not help

Build 1106 Windows 7 Enterprise 32 bits,  Release pack 1.

Have to close the whole thing and restart.

Edit: after shutting down EA and restart/reload, the diagram elements were moved to new locations - so, the move operation actually worked, but the visual did not reflect the change then.

You both should send a bug report (link bottom right).
