Backward incompatible DLL / Java

I use EA 10.0.1009. I use the SSJavaCOM.dll to interact with EA. Recently I upgraded java to jre1.8.0_45. This java version turns out not to be able to connect to the DLL anymore.

Is this problem fixed in more recent versions of EA, and if so, which ones?

The only incompatibility that I'm aware of is for 64 bit jre.

EA is only offered as 32bit, as a result SSJavaCOM.dll is the same.
