Mislocation of States?
« on: January 22, 2002, 01:31:40 pm »
Hi,

When I'm drawing a Statechart for an Actor (right-click on the Actor in the tree, choose Statechart), all the States I'm putting on that diagram are positioned in the tree under the Package, not Actor (the diagram itself is placed under Actor, as expected).

The same behaviour I've noticed for classes in the Logical view as well.

Why is it so? What if two actors/classes in a package have states with the same name (i.e., "Idle")?

Best regards,
Andris

HI Andris,

You are correct and it is on the list of things to do - it is much neater if the state-machine for an Actor or Class is contained beneath the associated element - rather than at the same level.

I hope we can get to this soon,
